Detox with Zeolite and activated charcoal

Exposure to toxic heavy metals is believed to be a root cause of symptoms such as mood disturbances, depression and cognitive changes. Heavy metals first enter your bloodstream from exposure to farmed fish, contaminated water, dental fillings and household products. These metals then travel throughout your body and penetrate the cells of various tissues and organs, where they can remain stored up for years!

A good place to start is to detoxify your body with natural zeolite. Zeolite is a volcanic mineral and a natural detoxifier with many health benefits that binds to toxins, pollutants and heavy metals. When nanosized, the natural zeolite can travel throughout the body detoxifying at the cellular level. This is important, as mentioned, that is where heavy metals are stored and we are exposed to these heavy metals daily.

Lead, mercury, aluminium and cadmium can quickly accumulate in the body and are in many household products, food and medicine. They are really toxic and can cause a huge amount of free radical strain in the liver, kidneys, brain and gut having a profound effect on our health

Zeolite help to pull these heavy metals out of the body’s tissues through an osmotic process. The process is a slow one but it is also steady and effective.

I personally use Touchstone Essentials Zeolite, but there are many available.

Activated charcoal is also known for its ability to detoxify the body. This gritty, black substance acts like a magnet, binding to toxins in the body and flushing them out.

Activated charcoal has been used as a remedy against poisoning and drug overdose for decades as it can bind to certain substances and eliminate them from the body quickly which makes it ideal for emergency medical situations in which someone has ingested poison or overdosed.
There are plenty of studies indicating that activated charcoal can help with excess gas and bloating. Activated charcoal adheres to byproducts in the digestive tract which can cause discomfort and then carries them to be flushed out of your system.

One study reports that activated charcoal may be beneficial in removing toxins from the kidneys and there is antecdotal evidence that it can extract toxins and bacteria from the skin. Another study concluded that activated charcoal may lower total cholesterol, triglycerides, and lipids in your blood by binding to and excreting bile salts that contained cholesterol in the digestive tract.

Side effects of activated charcoal
Activated charcoal doesn’t discriminate when it comes to removing toxins from our system, which could make it harmful in a variety of ways. Many also argue that the benefits have not been conclusively proven by studies and believe the hype of consuming activated charcoal is overstated.

There are suggestions that activated charcoal can prevent the proper absorption of medications. If you’ve spoken with your doctor about taking activated charcoal, it’s recommended that there’s at least a two-hour window between taking it and your medications. Also, the powerful adsorbent nature of activated charcoal could make our nutritious diets less so, inadvertently removing necessary vitamins and minerals.

As with any supplementation, please check with your GP first. And Zeolite and, activated charcoal are not intended for longterm use.
